Versatility and Flexibility: Finding Style
11 years studying studio art, 4 years teaching studio art, BFA in Studio Art, perfect scores in 2 years of AP Art, and a Governor's Honors Program Alumni for Studio Art
Digital art isn’t the only subject I can teach. Over the past fifteen years as an artist, I’ve spent each year actively learning from a variety of teachers, both in traditional and digital mediums. I’d like to share my credentials, showcase my past and current work, and give some insight into how the class will be structured.
It’s important to me to teach each student not just how to draw and reach their desired skill level, but also how to discover their unique art style over time. When you look at my work, I hope you can see my dedication to style versatility and, in turn, my ability to teach a variety of styles and mediums reflected in every piece.
Traditional to Digital
Despite my recent body of work being nearly entirely digital, it took many years of building up my basic knowledge in traditional methods to get to where I'm at today.

While I would argue that these two works above are eye catching, and perhaps the techniques used feature a few goals for fellow character illustration artists - especially younger students who wish to cultivate their style - my earliest body of work features more mundane, less "magical" subjects such as graphite still-life's, master study oil paintings, AP Art projects, college classwork, and more.
It takes a few years of active studying to get to the "fun" part of art, I always say!
